It's not long now; the Geneva Motor Show is just around the corner. In fact, it's just over a week away - the show starts on 6th March and runs through until the 16th.
As usual, the world's car manufacturers are busy jostling together their press release line ups and to be honest, it's all pretty confusing right now.
We thought that we would bring a little ray of light to our readers by unveiling BMWs offerings - the changing model range of the German automaker has certainly been a topic that we have covered on more than one occasion this year and last, so this is one manufacturer we can't wait see.
World Debuts:
BMW 2-Series Active Tourer
BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe
European Debuts:
BMW 2-Series Coupe
2014 BMW M3 Sedan
2014 BMW M4 Coupe
BMW Environmentally Friendly "i" Debuts
BMW i3
BMW i8 Sports Hybrid
BMW i8
Covering "green" car technology is one thing that we do often, so we are particularly interested in the BMW i3 and of course, the BMW i8 Sports Hybrid.
The i8 promises performance that could help to take the environmentally friendly car into another dimension - the standard-fare 3 cylinder 1.5 litre engine mid-mounted engine boasts 231bhp; the electric motor that provides the hybrid part of the technology itself also pumps out 131bhp and a decent level of torque. This one should be quite a crowd-puller, that's for sure.
4-Series Gran Coupe
We are also looking forward to meeting the 4-Series Gran Coupe. We already know from reports that it shares its dimensions with the coupe version. We also know that there will be little difference in the main aesthetics of the Coupe and the Gran Coupe; they will share the signature kidney grille and double headlights.
BMW M235i
If you feel the need for speed then let's end on the BMW M235i note; think 321bhp, 3.0 litre six cylinder engine. Think 4.8 seconds to 100km per hour (8 speed gearbox option). Now that sounds like a car that we just have to try out.
